The Kings are in Los Angeles to face the Clippers at the Intuit Dome on Sunday night in an important matchup for two teams in the middle of a tight Western Conference playoff race. The Kings have won five of their last six, and the Clippers have won back-to-back games to start their current homestand. The Clippers are currently No. 8 in the West at 34-29, while the Kings are 33-29 at No. 9. This could be a preview of a game in the Play-In Tournament, and it should be a fun way to close out a big NBA slate on Sunday. Let’s take a look at my top three Kings vs. Clippers prop bets from the player prop market on DraftKings Sportsbook.
In the big picture, the Clippers are six-point home favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook in this matchup, which has a point total of 216.5. The Kings won’t have Malik Monk (toe) or Domantas Sabonis (hamstring), while the Clippers remain without Norman Powell (hamstring) and Ben Simmons (knee).
Best Prop Bets for Kings vs. Clippers on DraftKings Sportsbook
Zach LaVine over 2.5 three-pointers (-145)
Without Monk and Sabonis, LaVine and DeMar DeRozan have been carrying more of the Kings offense. Since joining the Kings from Chicago at the trade deadline, LaVine has averaged 23.4 points, 4.1 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 3.2 three-pointers in 36.3 minutes per contest.
He has made at least three three-pointers in 60% of his games this season and in each of his last three contests. On Friday, he made 7-of-11 three-point attempts on his way to 36 points in a win over the Spurs. That big performance gives him at least three three-pointers in five of his last six games, including the two games that Monk missed.
Several LaVine lines look good to attack in this matchup, including his 25+ points at +105 and his Points + Rebounds + Assists over 32.5 at -110. Of all three of those, though, his three-point line is the most secure at -145 and is one of my top Kings vs. Clippers prop bets.
Ivica Zubac Points + Rebounds + Assists 40+ (+270)
I like this as a good spot to be aggressive with Big Z. He has a good matchup against the Kings without Sabonis, and he has gone over this PRA (Points + Rebounds + Assists) line in two of his last five games. He had 35 points and 10 boards last Tuesday against the Suns, and the week before he posted 27 points and 16 rebounds in a loss to the Lakers.
Since the game in which Sabonis was hurt just one minute in the game, the Kings gave up 45 PRA to Alperen Sengun and 43 PRA to Nikola Jokic. In the other two games without Sabonis, they faced the Spurs and Mavs, who didn’t have a center to really attack the matchup.
As a more conservative play on Zubac, you can keep it simple and pick him for over 17.5 points at -120. He’s also -120 for over 30.5 Points + Rebounds.
He sat out Thursday’s game with a right knee posterior impingement, but he is not on the injury report for Saturday. In his last four games returning after missing a game, he made multiple threes four times, including a 37-point game against the Cavs last Friday in which he hit four three-pointers.
It’s definitely no lock, but Brown typically plays well in tougher matchups and typically shoots more often and more effectively at home than on the road. His three-point play is one of my top Lakers vs. Celtics prop bets.
Jonas Valanciunas over 14.5 points (-110)
Valanciunas has been playing big minutes filling in for Sabonis. In the game that Sabonis left early, Valanciunas played 30 minutes and had 15 points. He had 14 points in his next game against the Mavericks but then posted 19 and 15 points in his last two contests. He actually even went over this line in just 14 minutes in his last game with Sabonis available as well.
Since arriving in Sacramento, Valanciunas has averaged 10.3 points in 18.8 minutes per game for a rate of 0.55 points per minute. He has played over 27 minutes in three of his last four games, so he is one of my top Kings vs. Clippers prop bets since he’s in for a similar workload Sunday night. He’ll be going head-to-head with Zubac in a game where both big men are heavy favorites to post double-doubles.
