UPDATE: Wizards PG Jordan Poole is available to play tonight against Toronto.

It’s been a rough season for the Washington Wizards as the franchise prioritizes asset accumulation and lottery odds for the upcoming prospect class. Still, the losses are adding up, and the team may be without its leading scorer for Saturday’s contest.

Point guard Jordan Poole is officially questionable for the road tilt across the northern border against the Toronto Raptors. According to the injury report, it’s an elbow issue ailment which may keep the young guard out.

The 25-year-old averages 21.0 points per game with 4.8 assists while shooting 37% from three-point range. His absence would be a major hit to a Wizards squad which has struggled to stay competitive.

If Poole can’t play, look for Bub Carrington to fill in at the one-guard slot and potentially be a sneaky-good pick for DFS contests. Otherwise, Khris Middleton could see some additional shots, while Bilal Coulibaly may rise in the pecking order as Washington looks to develop their younger talent.

The Wizards maintain sole possession of the NBA’s worst record at 12-49 on the campaign as they look to add star forward Cooper Flagg in the upcoming 2025 NBA Draft.
