Full Card for UFC 313: Pereira vs. Ankalaev

When you think of the most exciting fighters in the UFC right now, one name comes to mind. Alex ‘Poatan’ Pereira. He is the current UFC Light Heavyweight champion and is the most dominant fighter on the roster. He defends his title against No. 1 Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 313 on Saturday, March 8.

This event is taking place at the T-Mobile Arena, and Pereira has had much success in the state. He is 4-0 when fighting in Las Vegas in his UFC career. Pereira is 9-1 in the UFC and is 5-1 in title fights. All of Poatan’s victories in championship bouts have been by knockout. Pereira is not fazed by much. As the moments become more significant, he continues delivering dominant and devastating performances.

Pereira has faced tough competition, including Israel Adesanaya, Jiri Prochazka, Jamahal Hill, and Khalil Rountree. But he hasn’t faced an opponent as well-versed as Ankalaev until now. Pereira opened as an underdog in this fight, but now both fighters are -110 to win this main event.

This is Pereira’s fourth fight in the last 11 months and he has the chance to make history at UFC 313. If Pereira can beat Ankalaev, he would have four title defenses in the previous 330 days, a record for most title defenses in the fewest days in modern UFC history. Jon Jones currently holds the modern record at 364 days.

In the co main event, No. 3 Justin Gaethje was itnially slated to fight Dan Hooker. But after Hooker broke his hand, No. 11 Rafael Fiziev stepped up to take the fight against Gaethje on short notice. Gaethje vs. Fiziev is a rematch as they first fought at UFC 286 in March 2023. Gaethje won that bout by a majority decision. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Fiziev is the favorite at -162 while Gaethje is +136.

No. 13 Jalin Turner takes on Ignacio Bahamondes, who has won his previous two fights by knockout. Bahamondes is 5-2 in the UFC but is facing his most formidable opponent. Turner has lost three of his last four bouts, but all were to fighters ranked inside the top-10 in the lightweight division. Bahamondes is a -130 favorite in this contest, while Turner is a +110 underdog.

The second fight on this main card is a women’s strawweight bout between No. 5 Amanda Lemos and No. 7 Iasmin Lucindo. Lemos, the former title challenger, is coming off a loss and has lost two of her last three contests. Lucindo, 23, is on a four-fight win streak and is quickly rising up the rankings. Lucindo is the favorite in this fight at -142 on DraftKings Sportsbook.

The first of three lightweight fights on this card is a matchup between King Green and Mauricio Ruffy. After winning two straight, Green has lost two of his previous three bouts. Paddy Pimblett submitted Green at UFC 304 in July 2024. Ruffy is 2-0 in the UFC but has an overall record of 11-1 with 19 knockouts in his MMA career. Ruffy is the biggest favorite on this main card at -425 while Green is +330.
