The Lakers have been one of the most exciting teams in basketball since trading for Luka Doncic. They weren’t expected to be immediate title contenders, but their recent stretch says otherwise.
Los Angeles is on a seven-game winning streak and has risen to the second seed in the Western Conference. Over the past six games, Doncic has turned it up a notch and looks closer to his MVP-caliber self.
Doncic and company will get a matchup with the Knicks at home on Thursday. It’s the second time these teams will meet with the Lakers winning round one on Feb. 1.
The Lakers are 3.5-point favorites and the game total is set at 231.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Below, I have featured my favorite Doncic prop bets to consider from this contest.

Luka Doncic to record a triple double (+425)
It’s been over a month since the Mavericks traded Doncic to the Lakers, yet it still doesn’t feel right. Fans expected to see Doncic wear the Dallas blue for at least another decade, but now he’s donning the purple and gold.
It’s reality, and it’s given the Lakers some new life after the All-Star break. They’re on a seven-game win streak with Doncic having played in six of those games. He’s been great during this stretch, averaging 27 points, 9.0 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game. His efficiency needs some improvement, but the counting stats are there.
It makes Doncic’s triple double prop bet intriguing tonight against the Knicks. It’s valued at +425, so that’s plenty of juice for bettors. It’s a moderate risk considering the odds, but Doncic’s averages over the past six outings are just shy of a triple double. He’s hit the mark in one of his nine games with Los Angeles.
Doncic elevates his game on big stages, and that should be the case tonight. It’s a nationally televised game at home against the Knicks, who are third in the Eastern Conference.
He hasn’t played against the Knicks this season due to injury, but he has historically done well against New York. He’s averaging 30.4 points, 10.1 rebounds and 8.6 assists in 11 games against the Knicks. Doncic has also recorded three triple doubles against New York, including a 60-point, 21-rebound, 10-assist outing in 2022.
While that stat line is a lot to ask for, it’s not far-fetched to believe he can notch another triple double tonight. It’s nice value at +425 as he seeks his fifth triple double of the season.
