Chet Holmgren Injury Update: 3/5/25 vs. the Grizzlies

Chet Holmgren has been ruled for Wednesday’s matchup with a leg contusion. Aaron Wiggins ($5,100; thumb) is questionable, while Isaiah Joe ($4,000; back) will return from a two-game absence.

The severity of Holmgren’s injury is currently unknown and his next chance to play will be Friday vs. the Trail Blazers. Due to many injuries, Holmgren has only played in 18 games this season, but he has been very solid when available, averaging 15.0 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2.7 blocks per game.

With Holmgren out Wednesday, all of the Thunder’s starters will see boosts to their usage rates. Most notably, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s ($10,800) usage rises 1.1 percentage points to a huge 36.5% with Holmgren off the floor and he scores 1.61 FPTS per minute. Isaiah Hartenstein ($6,700) will also benefit with Holmgren missing. In the 31 starts Hartenstein has made without Holmgren this season, the big man is averaging 35.8 FPTS per game. Facing a Grizzlies team that leads the league in pace and with this game presenting a massive 253.5-point total on DraftKings Sportsbook — which is the largest total the NBA has seen this season — both Gilgeous-Alexander and Hartenstein are great DFS targets.

The Thunder are 35-8 with Holmgren out this season and Oklahoma City is a 7.5-point favorite over the Grizzlies on DraftKings Sportsbook. Memphis has lost seven of their last 10, while the Thunder have won eight of their last 10.
