Tyrese Maxey hurt his back during Monday’s loss to the Trail Blazers and the guard has been ruled out for Tuesday’s matchup with the Timberwolves. Paul George ($7,400, groin) missed Monday, but is listed as questionable for Tuesday, along with Quentin Grimes ($6,000, bicep) and Justin Edwards ($4,000, ankle). On a positive note, Kelly Oubre Jr. ($6,400) has been listed as probable after missing Monday’s tilt.
With Joel Embiid (knee) done for the season, Maxey and George are the clear top options for the 76ers and if George is able to suit up Tuesday, he should see a huge role with Maxey and Embiid out. With both Maxey and Embiid off the floor this season, George’s usage increases 4.9 percentage points to 29.2%.
Now, if George is inactive, Oubre and Lonnie Walker ($3,000) will benefit from expanded roles, especially if Grimes also sits.
Playing its second game in two nights and with many big names on its injury report, Philadelphia is a 15.5-point underdog vs. the Timberwolves on DraftKings Sportsbook. With both Maxey and Embiid inactive this season, the 76ers are 1-4.
