Nikola Jokic Injury Update: 3/5/25 vs. the Kings

UPDATE: Jokic has been cleared to play.

Nikola Jokic has been incredible durable this season. In fact, the former MVP has only missed six games in 2024-25, the most recent of which being all the way back on January 15. Well, there’s a chance that the big man will add to that total on Wednesday, as Jokic has been listed as questionable against Sacramento. Aaron Gordon (ankle) is also questionable.

Jokic carried a large load in Monday’s narrow loss to the Celtics — as did all of the Nuggets’ starters. Jokic logged 39.4 minutes, using that extended period of time to collect 20 points, 14 rebounds and nine assists. Only six members of Denver’s rotation exceeded even nine minutes in that contest versus Boston and one of them, Julian Strawther (knee), is now set to miss at least four weeks. Needless to say, if Jokic or Gordon sit on Wednesday, there will be some serious voids to fill.

DeAndre Jordan started and played 23.3 minutes the last time Jokic was absent, yet the veteran center failed to score even a single point that evening. His value in DFS would be shaky at best. The real beneficiary would be Russell Westbrook, who leads the Nuggets in usage rate (28.6%) and FPTS earned per minute (1.16) with Jokic off the floor in 2024-25. Jamal Murray would be another name to monitor in fantasy.
