The Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers are both in dire need of a win, making Tuesday’s matchup a pivotal one as the Western Conference playoff race heats up. The Suns have lost 11 of their last 14 games, putting them four games out of the final play-in spot, while the Clippers have dropped five of their last six and are clinging to a guaranteed postseason berth.

With the pressure mounting, Phoenix will again turn to Kevin Durant, who has remained the team’s most reliable scoring option despite its struggles. Coming off a 26-point, 10-rebound performance against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Durant has a prime opportunity to lead the Suns in a game they desperately need to win.

Here’s the featured Kevin Durant prop bet on DraftKings Sportsbook for Tuesday’s matchup against Los Angeles.

Over 24.5 Points (-125)

Durant has averaged 26.7 points, 6.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 48 games this season, remaining an elite offensive force even as Phoenix has faltered. He’s in a position to exceed 24.5 points.

Durant should find plenty of opportunities to exploit mismatches against a Clippers team that has struggled defensively in recent outings. With Derrick Jones Jr. sidelined due to a right groin strain, it’ll be especially challenging to contain Durant.

Durant’s offensive workload remains as high as ever, evident in his 21 field-goal attempts against Minnesota on Sunday. The Suns committed 22 turnovers, leading to 40 Timberwolves points in that loss, something Durant expressed his frustration with postgame. Phoenix will surely be motivated to bounce back in a pivotal matchup.

“We didn’t play up to our standards at all,” Durant said. “We embarrassed the fans and we embarrassed ourselves the way we played. I want us to be better.”

With the Suns running out of time to turn things around, expect Durant to take matters into his own hands. He remains the team’s most dangerous scorer, and in a game with playoff implications, he should comfortably clear the 24.5-point mark.
