Portland lost in overtime against Cleveland but put up a strong fight against an elite team. With Joel Embiid out for the season, Portland has a greater chance to cover the spread.
Kings -2 (-112)
Sacramento comes into this game on a three-game winning streak and will aim to extend it against a struggling Mavericks team. Although the Kings are without Domantas Sabonis, Jonas Valanciunas has stepped up, delivering solid performances. Sacramento’s rebounding has been a key factor in its previous victories over Dallas, with the Kings controlling the boards. The Mavericks are missing several key big men, including Anthony Davis, Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II, leaving their interior defense vulnerable. The Kings have a strong outlook to cover the spread in this situation.
Pistons -9 (-110)
The Pistons have been dominant lately, winning nine of their last 10 games. Cade Cunningham has been the driving force, contributing across the board with his scoring and playmaking. With Utah struggling with injuries to key players, the Pistons’ depth and chemistry will give them the edge here. Utah is in a position to focus more on draft positioning than competitiveness coming off the NBA All-Star break. Look for the Pistons to keep their momentum rolling and give another strong performance.

Although shorthanded, Houston has shown resilience, especially with Jalen Green’s recent scoring surge. Green has averaged 26.5 points per game in the last four games. Oklahoma City will rely heavily on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, but Houston’s defensive ability, especially in limiting easy baskets, will help it keep the game within reach and cover the spread.
Hawks +9 (-108)
Ja Morant has been sensational recently, posting four straight 20-point games for the first time since December 2023. However, Memphis has been inconsistent, particularly on defense. Atlanta, coming off some much-needed rest after a tough loss, will look to improve its defense, with Onyeka Okongwu playing a pivotal role. The Hawks have stayed in games with improved team defense and a balanced offense built around Trae Young. The Grizzlies have been shaky at times, and with their defensive lapses, Atlanta will stay close and cover the nine-point spread on the road.
