The Hornets are hosting the Warriors on Monday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Golden State is favored by 12.5 points and this game presents a total of 228 points.

Below, I have featured my favorite LaMelo Ball prop bet to consider from this contest.

Best LaMelo Ball Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

LaMelo Ball U 23.5 Points (-115)

As the season winds down and the Hornets continue to tank to improve their lottery chances, Ball’s numbers have suffered. In his last 10 games, Ball is only averaging 17.1 PPG and he has only surpassed 23.5 points three times. During this span, Ball’s usage has been a huge 6.4 percentage points lower than his season average and he is only shooting 35.8% from the field.

Ball now meets a Warriors team that is limiting opposing point guards to the second-fewest points in the NBA this season. Jimmy Butler (questionable, back) participated in shootaround this morning and is trending toward making his return from a one-game absence for the Warriors. Ever since the veteran made his debut for Golden State last month, it has ranked third in defensive rating. Overall, with Butler on the floor, the Warriors own an outstanding 105.3 defensive rating.

Golden State is 7-1 with Butler active and it has won five of these games by at least 14 points. The Warriors are a 12.5-point favorite over the Hornets on Monday and if Golden State runs away with a win, Ball will likely see a limited workload. In the last five times Charlotte has lost by double digits, Ball is only averaging 17 points in 29.8 minutes per game. This is a difficult spot for Ball and attacking him for under 23.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook is a smart move.
