Chet Holmgren Injury Update: Monday 3/3/25 vs. the Rockets

After missing Sunday’s win over the Spurs with an ankle injury, PF/C Chet Holmgren ($7,100) has been removed from the Thunder’s injury report and will play Monday vs. the Rockets. The Gonzaga product has only played in 17 games this season, but is averaging 15.2 points, 8.4 rebounds and 2.7 blocks in 26.1 minutes across those contests.

With Holmgren returning Monday, Cason Wallace ($4,300) should move back to the bench after starting Sunday. Holmgren is handling a 23.3% usage rate this season and his presence is also going to negatively affect all the Thunder’s starter’s usage rates, most notably Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($10,600) and Jalen Williams ($8,100).

With Holmgren active this season, Gilgeous-Alexander and Williams’ usage rates have dropped 5.6 and 2.5 percentage points, respectively. Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 26.9 PPG in the 17 starts he has made alongside Holmgren this season. With the big man back Monday, SGA is worth considering for under 31.5 points (-125) on DraftKings Sportsbook, especially with a Houston defense that ranks third in efficiency on the other side.

The Thunder are 14-3 with Holmgren active this season and are a 10-point favorite over the Rockets on DraftKings Sportsbook.
