Jimmy Butler Injury Update: Saturday 3/1/25 at the 76ers

The Golden State Warriors are surging at the right time, winning seven of their last eight games since the acquisition of Jimmy Butler.

On Saturday, the Warriors are set to travel to Philadelphia for a matchup with the 76ers. Butler is officially listed questionable for that contest due to back spasms.

Since joining Golden State at the trade deadline, Butler is averaging 16.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per outing. The 35-year-old has fit in almost seamlessly with his new squad, providing a reliable second option next to Stephen Curry as they continue to develop chemistry in an already-productive two-man game.

If Butler can’t suit up, Brandin Podziemski is the next candidate to assume a greater role in the offense and absorb some of the former Heat star’s usual workload.

Regardless of Butler’s status, Saturday’s contest shouldn’t be too difficult for the Warriors. The 76ers will be without Joel Embiid, who was just shut down for the remainder of the season on Friday due to his lingering knee problems.

At 32-27, Golden State sits seventh in the Western Conference.
