Jokic has the highest floor/ceiling combo in the NBA, and it shouldn’t be a surprise to any fans of the league. The three-time MVP makes ridiculous stat lines look like an average day at the office.
That said, his last two games have been down from a scoring perspective. Jokic scored 18 points against the Pacers and 12 against the Lakers. He’s averaging 29.2 points per game, so these games we’re quite a bit under his season average.
It’s not totally shocking as Jokic can favor his elite passing at times, but he’s bound to return to average. After two low scoring matches, Jokic should prioritize his scoring tonight against the Bucks.
He hasn’t played against Antetokounmpo this year, but Jokic has played well in this matchup in years prior. In the past three meetings, Jokic has scored 29, 25 and 31 points — surpassing tonight’s over line in two of the three games.
Tonight’s featured matchup between the two MVP candidates should be a good opportunity for Jokic to hit the over again. While his recent games against the Pacers and Lakers indicate a lower scoring trend, Jokic doesn’t even need to hit his season average for tonight’s line to green.
