Cam Thomas Injury Update: 2/26/25

Cam Thomas last played on January 1st, a span of 23 games, due to a hamstring injury. Thomas did participate in 5-on-5 drills last week and Jordi Fernandez mentioned that his return would be “soon.”

On Wednesday, Fernandez reiterated that Thomas will return “soon” but provided a smidge more clarity by listing him as “day-to-day.”

In the 19 games that Thomas played this season, he averaged 24.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists and 2.8 treys while garnering a massive 31% usage rate. His return would likely send Keon Johnson to a reserve role.

The offensive gravity that Thomas sucks in could also increase the efficiency for Ziaire Williams and Cameron Johnson, although it would likely take some time for Thomas to get fully ramped up.

Brooklyn currently has a record of 21-36, sitting in 11th place in the Eastern Conference and only 1.5 games behind the Chicago Bulls. With the way the Nets have been playing defense, spearheading a 7-3 record over the last 10 games, and the Bulls going in the opposite direction, 3-7 over the last 10 games, the Nets are still alive for the Play-In tournament.

Stan joined DraftKings in December of 2020. It was a glorious time, except for that whole COVID thing, when we got Madden streams and boisterous bat flips from the KBO. I was brought on board to bring some West Coast flavor. I especially love hoops, and most of my content is in that arena. When I walk along the beach, strumming my guitar, the beat that I hear is not one of crashing waves. No, it is the beat of the ball bouncing off the hardwood with highs provided by the squeaks of the sneakers. Ball is life.
