Report: Khalil Shakir agrees to extension with Bills

Khalil Shakir and the Bills have agreed to a four-year contract extension worth up to $60.2 million, including $32 million guaranteed at signing, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Shakir was the Bills’ top pass catcher this past season, leading the team with 94 catches for 995 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Usage wise, the receiver led Buffalo with 115 targets and a 24.5% target share.

With Amari Cooper a free agent and possibly departing for a new team this offseason, locking up Shakir was an easy choice for the Bills, especially with TE Dalton Kincaid not living up to expectations. Buffalo should add another pass catcher through the draft or free agency, but likely not a big enough presence to bump Shakir down the depth chart.

The receiver should operate as Josh Allen’s primary weapon again in the 2025 season, as the Bills look to have another outstanding campaign and hopefully contend for a Super Bowl. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Buffalo is tied for the second-best odds to win the Super Bowl at +700 and they are tied for the best odds to win the AFC at +350.
