Brunson has stayed under 37.5 PRA in six of his past 10 starts and is a strong target for this under Sunday. For the Knicks, both OG Anunoby (foot) and Josh Hart (knee) are questionable for this matchup with the Celtics. Anunoby made his return from a six-game absence this past Friday and suffered no setbacks in his 26 minutes of work. Hart, on the other hand, is more of a question mark after missing the past two with a nagging knee injury. The most likely scenario is that Anunoby is active and Hart is inactive. Brunson has played two games alongside Anunoby with Hart out this season and struggled by his standards in those tilts, posting 14 points, seven assists and three rebounds vs. the Timberwolves and 26 points, four rebounds and four assists vs. the Cavaliers.
Even if Hart suits up, the forward being available will further hurt Brunson’s role. Hart handles much larger rates than Precious Achiuwa, who is currently starting in place of him. In the 47 games that Brunson, Anunoby and Hart have played together this season, Brunson is averaging under 37.5 PRA with 25.9 points, 7.5 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game.
