Mavericks -5.5 (-112)
The Mavericks will try to keep their momentum going as they face the Pelicans at home. Despite missing several frontcourt players, including Anthony Davis, Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively II, the Mavericks have remained resilient and have won four of their last five games. The team has recently leaned on small ball, including starting two-way contract player Kessler Edwards at center. Dallas also brought in 7-foot-2 Moses Brown on a 10-day contract to add size. The Pelicans are on a rough stretch, losing 10 of their last 11 games. With the Mavericks showing strong depth even in the absence of their top players, they should be able to cover the -5.5 spread against a struggling New Orleans squad.
Pistons -4.5 (-108)
The Pistons are playing well after a strong finish before the All-Star break. They have won four straight games and are led by the stellar play of Cade Cunningham, who has been pivotal in Detroit’s success. The Spurs, still adjusting to life without Victor Wembanyama, are coming off a victory but dealing with significant roster changes and injuries. Detroit’s offense has been clicking, and with San Antonio missing its star center, the Pistons are poised to cover the -4.5 spread in this matchup. Look for Detroit to continue its strong run and cement its position in the playoff hunt.
Warriors -2 (-112)
The Warriors face the Kings, and with Jimmy Butler’s addition, they look more dangerous than ever. Butler has already made an impact with his contributions in the last few games, and Golden State has been thriving with him in the lineup. The Kings are still working on integrating Zach LaVine into their system, while Butler has hit the ground running in Golden State. The Grizzlies have dominated, winning 11 of their last 15 games. They face the Clippers, who are still finding their rhythm with Kawhi Leonard returning to form. Despite Leonard’s return, the Clippers have struggled to be consistent, and Memphis has been on fire. With Ja Morant and Desmond Bane leading the charge, the Grizzlies’ offense is clicking, and their defense will provide a tough test for the Clippers. Expect Memphis to keep this game close, and with their recent form, they should easily cover the +4.5 spread.
Cade Cunningham Over 41.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-125)
Cade Cunningham has been on a tear this season, averaging 25.4 points, 9.4 assists and 6.3 rebounds per game. With the Spurs’ defense weakened by the absence of Victor Wembanyama, Cunningham should have ample opportunity to exploit the paint. Given his all-around playmaking ability and the matchup against a depleted Spurs squad, Cunningham is poised for another big performance. He has favorable odds to hit the over on 41.5 combined points, rebounds and assists, especially with the Spurs struggling to contain opposing stars.
