Top DFS Pick

PG/SG De’Aaron Fox, San Antonio Spurs vs. Detroit Pistons, $8,200

This just feels like a buying window for Fox. Consider that the guard was consistently priced above $9,000 in late November. I think with Thursday’s Victor Wembanyama news, we’ll see Fox get back to that salary range quite soon. However, in the immediate, he’s just over $8,000. With Wembanyama unavailable yesterday against the Suns, Fox was the focal point of the Spurs’ offensive attack, finishing the victory with 26 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in 37.3 minutes. Fox also sported a team-high 28.3% usage rate. In his brief time with San Antonio, Fox is producing a very respectable 1.28 FPTS with his 7’3 teammate off the court. Again, he’s simply too cheap on this slate. Take advantage.

Top Value Pick

PG/SG Cole Anthony, Orlando Magic vs. Memphis Grizzlies, $5,100

The Magic are one of many teams on the second leg of a back-to-back set. However, there shouldn’t be any massive ripple affects on their rotation, as the injury report looks pretty familiar. Jalen Suggs (quad) remains sidelined. That should translate into another start for Cole Anthony, who looked very good in Thursday’s 114-108 victory over the Hawks. In 31.7 minutes of action, Anthony poured in 17 points to go along with five rebounds, three assists and three steals. All told, the former first-round pick would finish with a 21.8% usage rate and 35.25 DKFP. As a starter in 2024-25, Anthony is putting up 14.6 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists. I’m anticipating a similar type of performance from the guard this evening, in what should be another uptempo spot. Atlanta ranks second in the NBA in pace (104.1). Memphis ranks first (104.5).
