The Thunder return from the All-Star break looking to further cement their lead as the first seed in the Western Conference.
The West is a stacked conference, yet Oklahoma City has an eight-game lead on the second place Nuggets. Led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the Thunder are a title favorite this year and should remain that for at least the immediate future.
Gilgeous-Alexander is having another MVP-caliber season, and this could be the year he wins his first MVP trophy. He’s averaging 32.5 points, 6.1 assists and 5.1 rebounds per game on 52.3 percent shooting from the field.
The Thunder are 15.5-point favorites on the road against the Jazz, and the game total is set at 235.5 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Below, I have featured my favorite Gilgeous-Alexander prop bets to consider from this contest.
Best Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander under 4.5 rebounds (-120)
There’s a lot to like about Gilgeous-Alexander’s game. He’s the NBA’s leading scorer, a good passer and a plus defender.
He’s also a good rebounder for his position, but tonight isn’t a great opportunity for him to get a lot of boards. The Jazz are the sixth best rebounding team in the league while also allowing the sixth fewest rebounds per game to opposing teams.
Utah’s frontcourt of Walker Kessler, John Collins and Lauri Markkanen is one of the tallest trios in the NBA. Collins is 6-foot-9, while Kessler and Markkanen are both 7-feet tall.
Additionally, the Thunder have two 7-footers in Isaiah Hartenstein and Chet Holmgren that will take some rebounding chances away from Gilgeous-Alexander. There are far too many frontcourt players in the way for Gilgeous-Alexander to reliably grab rebounds tonight.
Finally, the Thunder are 15.5-point favorites, which indicates a potential blowout. If the Thunder are up big after three quarters, that could be all Gilgeous-Alexander plays.
