The Lakers listed LeBron James (foot) as questionable for their Wednesday night contest against the Hornets as they return to action after the All-Star break. LeBron sat out the All-Star game but was able to go through most of Tuesday’s practice, according to coach JJ Redick. If James ultimately is unable to play, it will leave more work for Dalton Knecht ($5,600 in UTIL), who will be a strong option in DFS Showdown contests.

SG/SF Dalton Knecht, Los Angeles Lakers vs. Charlotte Hornets, $5,600
Knecht didn’t play for over a week while he was traded to the Hornets. Issues with Mark Williams’ physical ultimately voided the trade, sending the Lakers’ first-round pick back to Los Angeles. Knecht played 17 minutes in his return, scoring 10 points and posting 13.5 fantasy points.
Knecht will have a harder time finding playing time in L.A. than if he had stayed with the Hornets, but he has shown a high ceiling when minutes are available, which they will be if LeBron is out. Knecht will potentially be a solid fit next to Luka Doncic ($10,600) on the wing.
In his three games this season without LeBron available, Knecht has averaged 20.0 fantasy points. Without LeBron on the floor, his usage increases to 21.4% from his season average of 18.4%.
With Luka running the show and no AD, it will definitely be a different look for the Lakers if LeBron sits, but Knecht should be very involved, especially coming off a strong showing in the Rising Stars festivities over the break. Knecht could also be extra motivated facing the team that tried to trade for him, and the Hornets have been vulnerable against opposing wings this season.
