Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard Injury Updates: February 20 vs. the Clippers

UPDATE: Both Antetokounmpo and Lillard will start but be on a minutes limit. This is the front end of a back-to-back.

Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,500) last played on February 2, missing six games due to a strain in his left calf. Damian Lillard ($9,500) did not play in the last game before the All-Star break due to a sore hamstring. Both players practiced on Wednesday, but they are officially questionable for Thursday’s contest against the Los Angeles Clippers.

There have been five games this season in which both Antetokounmpo and Lillard have been out together. In the most recent one, Ryan Rollins ($3,500) and Andre Jackson Jr. ($3,100) entered the starting lineup, but neither is fantasy relevant, averaging 0.86 and 0.67 FPTS per minute respectively. Kyle Kuzma ($6,500) led the way with 19 points, 13 rebounds, four assists and a steal while Gary Trent Jr. ($4,200) provided 21 points, a rebound, two assists and a steal in 30 minutes off the bench.

It used to be an auto-click for Bobby Portis ($7,000) anytime Antetokounmpo was unable to go, but Kuzma has neutered his fantasy value. The playing time has gone from 38 to 30 to 26 to 23 minutes while the fantasy production has gone from 60.25 to 44.25 to 18.75 to 20.5 FPTS with Kuzma now in town.
