For the first NBA game following the All-Star break, the Lakers are hosting the Hornets on Wednesday. On DraftKings Sportsbook, Los Angeles is favored by 12 points and this game carries a total of 228 points.

Below, I have featured my favorite Austin Reaves prop bet to consider from this contest.

Austin Reaves U 21.5 Points (-120)

Luka Doncic (calf) will no longer be under a minutes limit going forward, which is bad news for Reaves as a scorer. With Doncic on the floor, Reaves’ usage has dropped a huge 10.3 percentage points to only 13.4%.

The guard has scored 22 and 15 points in the two games he has played with Doncic as a Laker, but the superstar only saw 23 minutes in both of these contests. Doncic should get near his season average of 35 minutes tonight and on a per 35-minute basis, Reaves is only averaging 14.2 points when sharing the floor with Doncic.

To make matters worse, Reaves is facing a Hornets defense that ranks 13th in efficiency and is giving up the fewest points to shooting guards this season. This 21.5-point line is far too high for Reaves in this situation and he is an outstanding bet for this under.
