A rough stretch for #23 Kansas has seen the program lose three of its last five games. While the 17-8 Jayhawks are very much a work in progress this season, Hunter Dickinson continues to dominate. The center has enjoyed another stellar campaign, pacing the team in scoring (16.4 PPG), shooting (52.6 FG%) and rebounding (9.5 RPG). Now, with his school desperate for a win, the superstar could be in line for a terrific game on Tuesday. Here is the best Dickinson prop available for tonight’s matchup on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Hunter Dickinson player prop for February 18
There are plenty of flaws with the Jayhawks, but their big man down low isn’t one of them. While Dickinson has seen a slight statistical dip this season, he remains one of the nation’s most dominant forces. An otherwise mediocre offense has leaned heavily on the senior; Zeke Mayo (15.0 PPG) is the only other KU player averaging more than 10 points per game.
Kansas has an intriguing matchup on Tuesday with another group sitting at 17-8 in the Big 12. BYU’s play style is score-first, ranking 15th on KenPom in adjusted offensive efficiency. However, the Cougars are one of college basketball’s better rebounding teams, holding opponents to just 30.7 boards per game. That mark is good enough for 16th in the nation.
Rebounds might be tough to come by, but Dickinson still has plenty of ways to beat a defense. The center has reached 17 points in just 11 of his 25 appearances this season. Still, he’s reached 20 points in three of his previous six outings. Against the Big 12’s fifth-worst defense, there should be plenty of chances for the Michigan transfer to score.
When these two teams last met nearly a year ago, Dickinson compiled 17 points on five-of-ten shooting. BYU’s roster has undergone plenty of change since then, but this is still a weak defensive unit. With the Jayhawks hoping to get back on track, expect their leading man to deliver on Tuesday.
The Pick: Hunter Dickinson 17+ points (-125)
