The NASCAR Cup Series regular season kicks off Sunday with the Daytona 500 at 1:30 p.m. EST in Daytona Beach, Florida. With a 41-car field, there’s plenty of betting options available for the ever-iconic 2.5-mile track.

Here’s how the public is betting the event on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Betting Splits

Kyle Busch is the favorite to win the Daytona 500 on Sunday at +900 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook. With 8% of the total handle and 7% of bets coming in on the 39-year-old, the public seems to think he’ll finally win the storied race for the first time in his career. Busch has led 342 laps in his past attempts at Daytona International Speedway without a win, but will this be the one in which he finally takes first place?

Three-time Daytona 500 winner Denny Hamlin comes in slightly behind Busch with +1000 odds to claim the crown once again. As one of the best Daytona drivers, it makes sense that 7% of the handle and 6% of the bets from the public have been placed on him. Interestingly, Ryan Blaney has received similar levels of interest from bettors at 7% of the handle and 6% of total bets placed, though he’s listed at slightly longer odds to win at +1100 and hasn’t won this race before.

Speaking of +1100 odds on DraftKings Sportsbook, Chase Elliott and Joey Logano are also listed at that third-best mark among the field. Around 6% of the handle and 5% of total bets have been placed on Elliott, while the public’s interest in Logano sits at 6% for both the handle and total bets placed. Notably, Kyle Larson has received similar interest from the public as Logano at 6% each despite being listed at longer odds of +1400.

There’s only one other driver who has seen 5% of both the handle and total bets from the public. Bubba Wallace is listed at +1200 odds to win the whole thing. Otherwise, 2024 winner William Byron holds +1500 odds and has seen 4% of both the handle and bets, while 2022 winner Austin Cindric has +1800 odds with 3% of the handle and bets on him.
