The Golden State Warriors are staying in Texas to play the Houston Rockets tonight at 8:00 p.m. ET. The Warriors lost to the Dallas Mavericks 111-107 last night. After losing six games in a row, the Rockets have won their previous two games.
After averaging 22 points per game during the first few months of the season, Stephen Curry increased his scoring average to 31.7 in February. Here is my favorite prop for Curry against the Rockets for tonight’s game.
Stephen Curry over 25.5 points (-110)
Curry has scored over 25.5 points in four of his six games this month. In January, Curry only attempted 17.1 field goals per game, which increased to 25.5 in February. You can get Curry’s over in points at -110 on DraftKings Sportsbook.
In February, Curry was third in the NBA in scoring, only behind Anthony Edwards (37.3) and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (33.3). Curry also had a 36.7 usage rating during that span, which is third in the league. That is an improvement from a 29.3 usage rating throughout the entire season.
So, as the season progressed, we have seen Curry perform at his usual elite level. In six of his last eight games against the Rockets, Curry has scored at least 26 points. With Curry’s scoring volume increasing, it is a great spot to back the two-time NBA MVP.
