Shai Gilgeous-Alexander U 41.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-115)

Chet Holmgren rested last night, but he will be back for the Thunder this evening and playing alongside Holmgren has hurt Gilgeous-Alexander’s numbers. In the 12 games these two have played together this season, Gilgeous-Alexander is averaging 26.4 points, 5.8 assists and 5.3 rebounds per game.

The guard has stayed under 41.5 PRA in nine of these 12 games. With Holmgren on the floor this season, Gilgeous-Alexander’s usage decreases 6.1 percent and his assist rate drops 2.5 percent.

This matchup against the Timberwolves is also unappealing for Gilgeous-Alexander. Minnesota ranks sixth in defensive rating this season and the Timberwolves being without Julius Randle (groin) is a boost for their defense. With the forward off the floor this season, Minnesota’s defense rating has been 2.8 points better than with Randle on the court. Topping 41.5 PRA should be a difficult task for Gilgeous-Alexander tonight.
