Devin Booker Injury Update: February 12 vs. Rockets

Devin Booker struggled by his own standards in Tuesday’s loss to the Grizzlies. Now, the shooting guard has been ruled out of Wednesday’s matchup vs. the Rockets with a back injury. Grayson Allen (knee) is also out and Bradley Beal (toe) will miss his fourth in a row.

This season, Booker is averaging 26.2 points, 6.2 assists and 4.0 rebounds per game with a 29.4% usage rate. With Booker, Beal and Allen all missing Wednesday, Kevin Durant ($9,000) should handle a mammoth role after lighting the Grizzlies up for 34 points Tuesday. With Booker, Beal and Allen off the floor this season, Durant’s usage skyrockets 11.1 percentage points to 41.1% and he averages 38.9 points per 36 minutes. Fantasy wise, Durant scores 1.7 FPTS per minute in this situation. While the veteran is facing a stout Rockets defense that ranks third in efficiency, Durant has a ceiling worth perusing in GPPs. Bol Bol ($4,500) and Tyus Jones ($4,800) also should see large workloads and are compelling DFS values with the Suns understaffed.

As a team, Phoenix is 1-4 with Booker inactive this season. Plus, they are an ugly 2-8 on the second night of a back-to-back. Rightfully so, the Suns are a nine-point underdog vs. the Rockets on DraftKings Sportsbook.
