The defending NBA Champion Boston Celtics are second in the Eastern Conference this season. They have won six of their previous seven games. Tonight, they will play the San Antonio Spurs for the first time this year at 7:00 p.m. ET.
Even after winning a championship, Jayson Tatum keeps elevating his game. He is seventh in the NBA in scoring this season with 26.9 points per contest. But he has totaled 40 and 33 points in his last two games. Here is my favorite prop for Tatum against the Spurs for tonight’s game.
Jayson Tatum over 28.5 points (+100)
With Jrue Holiday out and Jaylen Brown questionable for tonight’s game, getting Tatum’s over in points at plus money is very surprising. Although his scoring in the past month has been inconsistent, he is starting to change that in February. He is averaging 29.4 points on 44 percent shooting with three-pointers in five games this month.
Getting Tatum to score more than 28.5 points against the Spurs at +100 on DraftKings Sportsbook is a great play. A big reason for his surge in scoring has been because Tatum has attempted 21.4 field goals per game in February. That is 1.4, more than he has shot throughout the season. Also, in the last two games, he has gone 13-26 from the field in each contest.
San Antonio has allowed an opposing player to score at least 29 points in three of the last five games on its current road trip. The Celtics’ offense has been scoring incredibly lately, recording at least 118 points in five of its previous seven games.
