We’re mere days away from the 2025 NBA All-Star Game in San Francisco. While players across the association have circled this weekend on their calendars, there’s still basketball to be played. Four games among eight teams are set to tip off on Tuesday. Among the matchups to watch, a playoff rematch between the Knicks and Pacers could have major Eastern Conference implications. Later in the evening, the Grizzlies travel to Phoenix for a potential shootout with the Suns. On such a small slate, narrowing down a handful of names to back is easier said than done. Still, that doesn’t mean there aren’t bets worth placing on DraftKings Sportsbook. Here are three player props catching my eye tonight.
Ausar Thompson over 11.5 points (+100)
If there’s been one breakout player on Detroit’s roster, it’s Ausar Thompson. The third-year wing has always been a superb defender, but his offensive game is finally starting to catch up. The 22-year-old missed the first few months of the season due to a blood clot. However, he’s wasted little time getting back up to speed. Since January 22nd, the wing has posted 11.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 2.5 assists over ten appearances.
Despite playing barely over 20 minutes per game, Thompson is talented enough to put up points in a hurry. That level of production should continue on Tuesday when the Pistons travel to Chicago. This season, the Bulls have allowed 120.3 points per game to opponents, second-most in basketball. When these two teams last met on February 2nd, Thompson generated 12 points in just 22 minutes on the court. Even if the youngster doesn’t play in more than half of tonight’s contest, he should find a way to contribute as a scorer.
Pascal Siakam under 7.5 rebounds (-120)
Despite the struggles of Tyrese Haliburton, the Pacers are currently 4th in the Eastern Conference standings. Leading the way for Indiana this season has been Pascal Siakam. The former Raptors star, acquired in a trade last season, has been phenomenal so far. Through 51 games, the power forward has averaged 20.7 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists.
In a primetime rivalry matchup, expect Indiana’s best player to make a significant impact. However, that might not come on the glass. This season, the Knicks have allowed just 48.3 rebounds per game to opponents, the lowest mark in the NBA. Over Siakam’s last ten outings vs. New York, including the playoffs, he’s snagged more than seven boards only three times. History suggests that trend will continue once again on Thursday.
Tyus Jones over 2.5 three-pointers made (+140)
A messy season for the Suns has been saved by the dynamic duo of Kevin Durant and Devin Booker. However, there are still a few solid role players worth mentioning on Phoenix’s roster. That includes Tyus Jones, signed from the Wizards this offseason. Through 51 games, the point guard has recorded 11.1 points and 5.9 assists while shooting 45.9% from the field. The 28-year-old has been especially impressive from beyond the arc, nailing 41.1% of his three-point shot attempts.
Jones has been lethal as of late, knocking down two or more three pointers in four of his last five outings. That should continue tonight when Phoenix hosts the Grizzlies. While Memphis plays solid per-possession defense, their up-tempo pace leads to plenty of possessions for both teams. This season, the team has allowed 13.8 three-pointers made per game, the eighth-highest mark in the NBA. At plus money, Jones’ shooting is worth a look on an otherwise thin Thursday slate.
