The first change that you’ll notice is a price increase. Historically, Mega Millions tickets cost $2.00 per play. Starting in April, tickets will cost $5.00 per play.

When Will the Rules to Mega Millions Change?
These changes go into effect starting on April 5, 2025. The first drawing with the new Mega Millions experience will be on April 8th, and you can expect them to continue every Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. ET.
