The Memphis Grizzlies begin a five-game road trip on Tuesday night against the Phoenix Suns, looking to bounce back after a 125-112 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Meanwhile, Phoenix gets a significant boost with Kevin Durant returning from a three-game absence due to an ankle injury. The Suns have struggled without him this season, going just 2-11 when he’s sidelined.
Memphis had been one of the hottest teams in the Western Conference, winning 10 of 11 games before falling to the Thunder over the weekend. Despite solid contributions from Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr., Ja Morant struggled, shooting just 6-of-19 from the field in a 16-point performance.
Here’s a featured Morant prop bet on DraftKings Sportsbook for Tuesday’s game in Phoenix.
Best Ja Morant Prop Bet on DraftKings Sportsbook
Under 33.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-120)
Morant has averaged 20.5 points, 7.5 assists and 4.2 rebounds in 31 games this season, but his production has dipped in recent outings. Over his last 10 games, he’s putting up 18.5 points, 7.1 assists and 3.9 rebounds per contest, failing to reach 34 combined points, rebounds and assists in most of those matchups.
In Saturday’s loss to the Thunder, Morant finished with just 16 points, five rebounds and seven assists while struggling from the field. While Oklahoma City is a much more formidable defensive team than the Suns, Memphis hasn’t needed Morant to dominate in order to drive its recent success.
Phoenix has already beaten Memphis once this season, a 117-112 win on Dec. 31 in which Morant did not play. The Grizzlies leaned on Jackson and Bane in that matchup, and a similar approach may be needed again Tuesday.
With Memphis set to face the Clippers on Wednesday in the second game of a back-to-back, it wouldn’t be surprising if Morant’s minutes are monitored to an extent. Taking the under on 33.5 combined points, rebounds and assists is a solid bet.
