The Eagles have an elite secondary and have been one of the best pass defenses in the NFL all season. The Chiefs don’t have any elite wide receivers and they should find it hard to get open on the outside. They are going to use a lot of gadget plays and quick passes to get the ball to Xavier Worthy and Hollywood Brown in space for them to try to create explosive plays. In the traditional passing game, it will have to be Travis Kelce who carries most of the load for the Chiefs. Kelce is going to need to find holes in that Philadelphia defense and pick up first downs for the Chiefs through the air. The Eagles’ biggest task will be trying to tackle Kelce in space, rather than letting him turn and pick up big chunks after making those catches.

Travis Kelce has been the Chiefs’ leading receiver in each of their past two Super Bowl wins and was the game’s leading receiver in last year’s Super Bowl. The Eagles’ receivers have been very inconsistent in the postseason and they run the ball more than any team in the NFL. If no receiver explodes for the Eagles, Kelce could very likely lead the game in receiving.
