First Reception under 10.5 yards (-125)
The Eagles’ secondary has been incredible and is a big reason why they’re here. Brown, who has four games under his belt, hasn’t been used as the dynamic, downfield threat we thought. Mahomes has targeted him six times on pass attempts of 20+ yards but they’ve yet to connect on any of them. Exactly 50% of the targets to Brown have been nine yards or less, including 14% behind the line of scrimmage. With how good the Eagles have beenat limiting the big play down field, I like taking Brown’s first reception to be under 11 yards.
Marquise Brown vs. Dallas Goedert H2H receiving yards total – Goedert -9.5 (-115)
This is a unique market that I like to play during the regular season. Simply put, we have lines on who’ll have the most receiving yards, the spread, and the overall total for both players. For this matchup, we have two players in completely different matchups. Goedert is expected to feast against the team that’s allowed the most receiving yards to the position. In fact, in the playoffs, Goedert is a current favorite to lead in receiving yards.
Brown has a tough matchup in coverage against CB Quinyon Mitchell. Having lined up on the majority of his snaps on the left side, Brown should see a lot of Mitchell. In coverage, Mitchell allowed just a 55% reception rate on 82 targets, 10.5 YPR, and just 68 total yards after the catch. With Brown not struggling to connect with Mahomes on the deep pass attempts, Brown could easily have another below-average game. Meanwhile, Goedert is set to flourish in one of the best possible matchups of the season against a Chiefs team that allowed an average of 62.6 yards per game.
