It’s a great time to be an NFL fan, with the Super Bowl on Sunday and everything in the sports world focusing in on the matchup between the Chiefs and Eagles in New Orleans. One player prop that’s a very interesting one is the interception market for each QB. Let’s take a look at if Jalen Hurts will throw an interception this week against the Chiefs.

Hurts has history
The Eagles QB has done a great job of taking care of the ball throughout his career, and that continued to be the case this season. During the regular season, Hurts attempted 361 passes and only threw five interceptions. Two of those picks came in the very first game of the season and four came in the first three weeks of the season.
Over the last 12 regular-season games he played, the only interception he threw came in a 34-6 win over the Cowboys in Week 10. Hurts had four touchdowns in that game (two rushing and two receiving), and the interception came in the end zone in the first half when Trevon Diggs picked off a pass intended for Dallas Goedert.
In the postseason, Hurts has also played very clean football, completing 48-of-69 (70%) pass attempts with three passing touchdowns and no interceptions.
How to play Hurts’ INT prop
Since Week 3, Hurts has only thrown one interception in 15 contests. In comparison, Patrick Mahomes has thrown seven interceptions over that span. Mahomes also has five interceptions in four Super Bowl appearances, while Hurts did not throw an interception in his only Super Bowl two years ago.
The reason I bring Mahomes up as a comaprison is how similar the numbers for the two QBs are this week. It isn’t due to matchup either, since both defenses had 13 interceptions during the regular season.
While anything is possible on one fluky play or a last-second heave, Hurts has enough history that his under 0.5 interceptions at -141 looks like a very strong play as he steps into the spotlight to try to claim his first Super Bowl ring.
