Here are some of my top novelty picks from Sunday’s novelty prop bets:
PHI Eagles to Win Coin Toss and Win the Game (+300)
Available in: AZ, IA, IL, IN, LA, MI, MA, NH, NJ, NY, OR, PA, WV, WA, MD, ME, NC, VT, ON (Canada)
If you think the Eagles will win the game, you can give your odds a huge boost by adding in a coin flip prop. The Eagles to win is -105, but the Eagles to win the coin toss and win the game is +300. If you are betting on the Eagles to win, you can supercharge part or all of your bet by using this prop.
While it obviously raises the risk substantially, it also boosts your return. For example, if you bet $20 on the Eagles to win at -105, the return would be $39.04. If you bet just half of that ($10) on them to win the coin toss and the game, it would return $40. If you’re looking to increase your returns for a bet you like anyway, this is a fun way to do it.
It could make the game even more exciting if you secure the coin flip win, and you’ll also know right away if you lose the coin flip leg, giving more time to recover with plays during the rest of the game. If you think the Chiefs will win, getting them at +265 to win the coin toss and win the game is a nice way to add juice to that bet as well.

For this novelty prop, players with numbers one through 15 face off against all the players with uniform numbers over 15. It’s an even split as you can see, so both sides have some strong candidates.
For the Chiefs, Xavier Worthy (No. 1), Hollywood Brown (No. 5), DeAndre Hopkins (No. 8), JuJu Smith-Schuster (No. 9), Isiah Pacheco (No. 10), and Patrick Mahomes (No. 15) would all count for the under 15.5 side of things. The most notable options over 15.5 from KC are Kareem Hunt (No. 29) and Travis Kelce (No. 87).
For the Eagles, Jalen Hurts (No. 1), DeVonta Smith (No. 6), A.J. Brown (No. 11) and Kenneth Gainwell (No. 14) are on the lower side of the line, while Saquon Barkley (No. 26) and Dallas Goedert (No. 88) are on the higher side.
While there are obviously more numbers over 15.5 than under, I’m taking the under on this prop since both quarterbacks and the top two receivers for both teams are under 15.5.

Let’s close out my best novelty picks for the Super Bowl with a look at one for the advanced metrics crowd. In many states, you can select which ball carrier will record the top speed. While there are obviously a lot of potential options and someone like DeVonta Smith (+1100) or Marquise Brown (+1100) could break free for a big play and clock the highest speed, I think the pick here is to roll with Barkley at +225 odds, which are still longshot odds, even though they are the shortest in this novelty prop.
Barkley reached 20 MPH an impressive 11 times in the regular season and three times this postseason. He even hit 21 MPH on five of those runs and holds the fourth and fifth-highest top speeds recorded by a ball carrier this season.
The Chiefs do a good job of holding opposing running backs in check, but so do the Eagles. If you want to take a flier play on Smith, Brown or even A.J. Brown you could, but getting Barkley at +225 seems like the smart play if you’re ready to take on this novelty prop. Even if he doesn’t break “the big one” and go for 50+ yards, he accelerates quickly and has a good chance to win this prop.
