Pistons +4 (-110)
The Pistons could be catching the 76ers at the right time. With Joel Embiid, Paul George, and Tyrese Maxey expected to play together for just the 11th time this season, the 76ers face a challenge without consistency. Maxey has been on a scoring tear, but the Pistons’ star Cade Cunningham has also been playing at a high level, recording 38 points and nine assists in a close loss to Cleveland on Wednesday. Detroit has been solid at home, and with their dynamic young core, they should be able to keep this game within the four-point spread.
Bucks -5.5 (-110)
Milwaukee is coming off a much-needed win, and it will look to continue its momentum in Atlanta. Giannis Antetokounmpo is a game-time decision, but even without him, the Bucks have shown resilience with performances from Damian Lillard and Bobby Portis. While they snapped an eight-game losing streak earlier this week, the Hawks have been inconsistent, and with the Bucks’ defense and offensive firepower, they are poised to cover the 5.5-point spread. Antetokounmpo’s presence, if he plays, could make all the difference.
Suns -8.5 (-108)
The Suns are facing the Jazz at home, and despite their recent struggles, the Suns should have enough to cover the 8.5-point spread. The Suns are 3-0 against the Jazz this season and have dominated in the past nine matchups. Durant has missed some games with an ankle injury, but Phoenix has had success when its big three are healthy. Even if Durant isn’t in the lineup Friday, the Suns are in a strong position to overpower a Jazz team that has struggled over the last month. Perhaps Durant will want to have a statement game after trade rumors swirled before the deadline.
Heat -6 (-108)
Miami’s new-look roster, now featuring Andrew Wiggins, is poised to continue its strong play on the road against Brooklyn. Following Jimmy Butler’s trade, the Heat have found stability, with Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo taking on larger roles. Though Andrew Wiggins is unlikely to play until Monday, Miami has played better recently, while Brooklyn’s defense has been lackluster. The Heat’s win against Philadelphia on Wednesday should provide them the confidence to cover this spread against a Nets team that’s struggled at home.
Victor Wembanyama Over 24.5 Points (-125)
Victor Wembanyama has been an absolute force, averaging 26.0 points per game over his last four contests. His scoring has been impressive, and with the Spurs’ new addition of De’Aaron Fox alongside him, Wembanyama is likely to continue being the focal point of San Antonio’s offense. Facing the Hornets, Wembanyama should easily surpass the 24.5 points mark, especially with his recent dominance and the lack of an interior presence from Charlotte after trading Mark Williams and Nick Richards before the deadline.
