The NFL season has reached the final act and the stage is set for Super Bowl LIX this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET. It’s a rematch of the big game two years ago between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs after both teams picked up victories in the Conference Championships two weeks ago. As you get ready for all of Sunday’s festivities, let’s take a look at some of the betting trends coming into these two games.

The Chiefs earned the right to go for their third straight Super Bowl win by beating the Texans and Bills in the playoffs after securing the No. 1 seed in the AFC and getting a first round bye. The Eagles didn’t get the bye, entering the playoffs as the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs, where they beat the Packers, Rams, and Commanders in three home playoff victories.
These two teams met two years ago in the Super Bowl, with the Chiefs winning 38-35 on a late field goal from Harrison Butker after Jalen Hurts tied the game with a rushing touchdown and two-point conversion in the fourth quarter. The two teams met again the following season in November 2023, and the Eagles won in Kansas City, 21-17. The Chiefs lead the all-time series 6-5.
The Chiefs are 18-0 SU in their last 18 games as favorites and are 19-4 SU in their last 23 games not at Arrowhead Stadium. They are also 13-5 ATS in their last 18 non-conference games and 6-0 SU in their last six against the NFC. However, they are only 4-9 ATS in their last 13 games overall.
On the other side, the Eagles are 8-0 SU in their last eight games against the AFC and 15-1 SU in their last 16 games overall. The only loss during that span was against the Commanders in a game that Jalen Hurts left with a concussion. They are 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games and 6-6 SU/10-2 ATS as a playoff underdog since 2001. The only strong downward trend for the Eagles is that they are just 7-18 SU in their last 25 games as underdogs.
As far as the point total, the over is 4-2 in the Eagles’ last six games and 5-2 in the last seven head-to-head matchups between these teams. The over is also 12-4 in the Eagles last 16 games vs. the AFC West. However, the under is 6-2 in the Chiefs’ last eight games overall, 4-1 in their last five vs. the NFC East and 5-1 in their last six as playoff favorites.
