Seven games between 14 teams are on tap tonight across the NBA. Among the matchups to watch, a battle between the Celtics and Eastern Conference-leading Cavaliers in Cleveland stands out. As a nightcap, the surprisingly good Clippers host LeBron James and the Lakers in the battle of Los Angeles. With plenty of marquee matchups, narrowing down a handful of names to back is easier said than done. Still, that doesn’t mean there aren’t bets worth placing. Here are three player props catching my eye on Tuesday.
Immanuel Quickley 3+ three-pointers made (+175)
It’s been a difficult 2024-25 campaign for Immanuel Quickley. After signing a massive extension with the Raptors this summer, hopes were high for the guard. Unfortunately, injuries have plagued the 25-year-old since November. After making his season debut in January, the Kentucky product missed eight more games due to a hip issue.
With so many different ailments, it’s difficult for bettors to support IQ. Still, through 11 games the sharpshooter has managed to record 15.5 points while averaging just 26.3 minutes. Over his last two outings, the guard has nailed a combined 4 three-pointers in just 32 total minutes of play. That should continue against the Knicks, who have allowed an NBA-worst 37.8% field goal percentage from beyond the arc. Even on a limited workload, Quickley offers high upside tonight as a shooter against his old team.
Jarrett Allen over 9.5 rebounds (-125)
On a Cavaliers squad turning plenty of heads, Jarrett Allen continues to fly under the radar. This season, Cleveland’s center has averaged 13.7 points and 10.0 rebounds while shooting 70.6% from the field. While the big man doesn’t have much ability on offense, he’s a reliable rim-runner that plays great defense. Those skills give him a solid floor for production (other than scoring) in each contest.
Allen should play a key role in Tuesday’s much-anticipated matchup with the Celtics. If a loaded Boston roster has one weakness, it’s a lack of size. This season, the defending champs have allowed the fifth-most rebounds per game to opponents (53.4). Over his previous four outings vs. the C’s, Allen has notched at least ten boards. The former All-Star is the biggest person taking the court tonight; expect his success on the glass to continue.
Tyler Herro over 7.5 assists (+105)
With the trade deadline rapidly approaching, Jimmy Butler’s days as a member of the Heat appear numbered. At this point, Miami should be eager to move on from the disgruntled star; Tyler Herro’s play should give the franchise hope for the future. The 25-year-old earned his first ever All-Star game selection this season, carrying an otherwise unremarkable offense. Through 46 games, the guard has posted 23.8 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.4 assists while shooting 47.0% from the field.
Herro has made a name for himself in the NBA due to his shooting. However, he’s made massive strides as a playmaker recently. Over the Kentucky alum’s last ten outings, he’s averaged 6.9 assists per game. That should continue tonight against the Bulls, one of the association’s worst defenses. This season, Chicago has surrendered the second-most points per game (121.0) and the second-most assists per game (29.1). At better than even money, this is my favorite player prop on Tuesday’s slate.
