NBA DFS Value Pick: Start Ochai Agbaji with RJ Barrett ruled out vs. the Knicks

Late in Sunday’s victory over the Clippers, RJ Barrett hit the floor hard and remained down for a couple of minutes. Eventually, Barrett would get up under his own power and stay in the game. However, it has now been revealed that the former lottery pick suffered a concussion. He has been placed in the league’s protocol and will miss tonight’s contest against the Knicks.

With Barrett sidelined, here’s who you should be putting in your DraftKings lineups on Tuesday.

SF/PF Ochai Agbaji, Toronto Raptors vs. New York Knicks, $3,400

In a season that’s been full of injuries for the Raptors, Ochai Agbaji has been asked to play a variety of roles. In recent games, with Immanuel Quickley ($5,700) back and starting again, Agbaji has been Toronto’s sixth man, an assignment he executed perfectly versus Los Angeles, registering 31.75 FPTS in just 20.2 minutes of action. Agbaji stepped up with lock down defense on James Harden, finishing the win with three blocks and a steal to go along with 12 points and five rebounds. The former first-round pick has really seen his game flourish in his third campaign, averaging a career-best 10.3 points per contest and shooting 40.1 from three-point range. Expect Agbaji to start in place of Barrett and see over 30 minutes on Tuesday — a number which could grow even higher if Bruce Brown ($4,100; face) is unable to play through a questionable tag of his own.
