Desmond Bane Injury Update

During Sunday’s game, Desmond Bane drove down the lane, jumped and dished off a pass, but landed on the foot of Brook Lopez. He ended sitting the final three minutes of the game and played a total of 28 minutes.

On Monday, an MRI revealed a foot strain, but Taylor Jenkins said that Bane will “will miss a little bit of time.” No timetable has been set at this juncture.

It’s a shame because Bane had been playing so well over the last eight games with Ja Morant in and out of the lineup. Bane was averaging 20.9 points, 5.9 rebounds, 7.5 assists, 2.1 treys and 0.9 steals in 33.1 minutes per game.

Luke Kennard should be the primary beneficiary with Bane out.
