It’s Super Bowl time again which means it’s time to get your Super Bowl Squares all set for the big game! Super Bowl Squares is a fun, mostly random way to pick the game, which makes every score and every point extremely important at the end of each quarter.

There is also a whole section of DK Squares on DraftKings Sportsbook with full odds for every possible score combination in both the Any Quarter and Final Result sections. Using those odds, here are my top three Super Bowl Squares picks.

PHI Eagles 0:0 KC Chiefs (+290)
By definition, all of these DK Squares picks are longshot plays. This score does have the shortest odds on the board, but it is still a long shot to hit. The reason for the shorter odds is pretty obvious–both teams start at zero, so if nothing changes in the first quarter, this hits early and you almost quadruple your money.
This square is the right one to play if you think the defenses come out strong and the game starts slowly. Even if no one finds the end zone and things are “boring,” this prop will give you something to cheer for as the clock winds to the end of each quarter.
Even if there are points, this prop is far from dead since a touchdown, extra point and field goal add up to an even 10 points. Teams often score 10 points in a quarter which keeps 0’s alive as good numbers throughout the game.
PHI Eagles 7:3 KC Chiefs (+550)
The Eagles are good in short yardage and near the goal line, so I think they’ll be able to find the end zone while their defense is strong enough to hold the Chiefs to a field goal.
The most straightforward way for this to hit would be for the Eagles to have a touchdown and the Chiefs to have a field goal in the first quarter or the first half, but it highlights two of the more common final digits that occur in scores throughout the game as well.
As you can see from the odds, it’s a longshot to hit, but it’s one of the more likely longshot plays and it’s pretty easy to see how it could pay off.
PHI Eagles 1:0 KC Chiefs (+2000)
This is definitely a “swing for the fences” pick and doesn’t have much of a chance to hit, but it’s available at an extremely high number and is very possible. Any time you go with a “1,” you’re looking more at a late-game hit than an early payout since there’s no way to get an extra point without a touchdown. Even “11” is an unusual score, so you’re really looking at 21 or 31 points for the Eagles with 41 in play if things get really wild. The Chiefs don’t have to be at 0 for this to hit, thankfully, but 10, 20, or 30 are all not uncommon scores later in the game.
If the Eagles score three touchdowns before the Chiefs score, this would hit, but it’s more likely to be in play at 21-10, 31-10, or 31-20. Maybe we’ll even get a 21-20 nailbiter!
All of these picks are long shots, especially this last one, but playing Super Bowl Squares is a fun way to have something to cheer for throughout the game, so pick your square and get set for a great Super Bowl!
