The Charlotte Hornets will get Mark Williams ($8,400) back in their lineup on Saturday against the Nuggets after the big man sat out Friday night’s loss to the Clippers. Williams sat out two games in a row, and three of the last four, for the Hornets due to injury management for a left foot tendon.
Williams got a late start to the season due to injury but has been very effective since returning. In his 20 games, Williams averaged 15.5 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.2 blocked shots per game. The former first-round pick averaged 21.6 points and 12.4 rebounds in his last seven games and has stepped into a much larger role since the trade of Nick Richards to Phoenix.
On Saturday, Williams will have a tough matchup against Nikola Jokic ($12,000), but he should get plenty of work on offense since Charlotte will be without LaMelo Ball (ankle), Cody Martin (abdominal), and Josh Okogie (hamstring). Additionally, Brandon Miller (wrist) is out for the season.
Williams’ return will take work away from DFS value Moussa Diabate ($4,500) and likely send Taj Gibson ($3,300) back to the bench.
