Best Cade Cunningham prop bets for Pistons vs. Bulls

Cade Cunningham is having a career year, and the Pistons are enjoying some early dividends of their lengthy rebuild.

The 23-year-old earned his first All-Star appearance this year and has the Pistons sitting as the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference. That said, the team has struggled over the last four games, winning just one contest.

Detroit will look to add another win as it plays the second game of a six-game homestand against the Bulls. It’s the second of four matchups these divisional opponents will play this season.

The Pistons are five-point favorites at home and the game total is set at 233 points on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Below, I have featured my favorite Cunningham prop bets to consider from this contest.

Cade Cunningham over 28.5 points (-125)

Cunningham and the Pistons are blossoming right before our eyes, and it’s exciting to see. He rightfully earned an All-Star spot this year as he’s averaging 25.3 points, 9.2 assists and 6.4 rebounds per game on 45.8 percent shooting and 36.1 percent from deep.

The Bulls are a familiar opponent for Cunningham as the Central Division opponents matchup four times each season. This will be the second game of the season with Chicago winning the first round.

Cunningham scored just 26 points in that November loss, but he’s should outdo that performance this time. Chicago allows the second most points per game, has the 23rd best defensive efficiency and plays at the third fastest pace.

A combination of poor, inefficient defense and quick gameplay typically leads to high-scoring games. Cunningham should benefit from this even with the Bulls actively game planning against him.

The fourth-year guard has hit the 28.5 points over in five of his last six outings. The one game he went under was against the Cavaliers, who have the eighth best defensive efficiency and allow the 11th least points per game to opposing teams.

Cunningham can only do so much. He’s not going to shed off every defense thrown at him, but he should be able to thrive against Chicago. Bettors can get some extra juice by betting Cunningham to hit 30+ points. He’s hit this mark in four of the last six games, and it has -105 value.
