UPDATE: After the conclusion of Friday’s game, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that Murray suffered a torn Achilles tendon and is done for the season.

UPDATE: Murray will not return on Friday.

Late in the first quarter of Friday’s game against the Boston Celtics, Dejounte Murray drove down the lane and put up a little floater near the left block. The shot was short and bounced down towards him. Right after he landed, Murray tried to push off and grab the rebound but immediately wilted to the floor and grabbed the back of his right ankle. He limped off towards the locker room with the help of an assistant.

Prior to exiting, Murray contributed 4 points and 5 rebounds in eight minutes.
If Murray does not return, Jose Alvarado will likely pick up additional playing time while CJ McCollum would garner more offensive responsibility.
