The Golden State Warriors will host the Phoenix Suns tonight. The Suns have been hot, winning seven of their previous 10 games as they look to secure a Play-In spot or perhaps a better seed. The Warriors are a middling team this season due to Curry’s fading offensive production and Draymond Green’s inconsistent availability. They also lack a true second option, as the team is currently running a deep lineup while splitting looks amongst the likes of Andrew Wiggins, Buddy Hield, and Brandin Podziemski. This current iteration of Curry lacks the offensive gusto he’s put forth for so many years; he’s still liable to pop off when he needs to, but to task him with sustaining regular season dominance at his age is likely too big of an ask.

PTS 24.5 (Over -110 / Under -120): In his past five games, Curry has exceeded this O/U zero times, averaging 17.4 PPG in these games. Without another strong offensive player on the Dubs’ roster, it will be hard to alleviate pressure off Curry. He’s really the only issue that opposing defenses have to worry about when they play the Warriors, and his gravity is no good if his teammates aren’t up to par. I’m comfortable going Under on Curry, as he will run around all night blanketed by double teams and rarely get space while having defenders draped all over him.
Threes 4.5 (Over +114 / Under -145): Phoenix is a middling team when it comes to defending opponent threes, coming in at 15th. They are allowing 36% of shots from beyond the arc to go in. Steph Curry is, of course, a master three-point shooter, but I’m leaning Under his 4.5 O/U tonight due to the Dubs’ lack of offensive weapons to take pressure off Curry. Curry will always be able to get shots off by running around the defense or beating his defender for tough contested triples, but it will be tough to make a ton of threes tonight because the Suns will make sure Curry’s life is as hard as possible tonight. This season, he’s averaging 4.3 three-point makes a game, his lowest since 2017-2018. He’s exceeded 4.5 threes just once in his last five games.
