On Saturday night, February 1, two of the most incredible light heavyweights will face off in Las Vegas, Nevada, at T-Mobile Arena. In the main event, David Benavidez will face David Morell. Both fighters are undefeated: Benavidez is 29-0, and Morrell is 11-0. It is rare in boxing for two unbeaten boxers to face off before fighting for a championship.

The winner of this bout could face the winner of the Undisputed Light Heavyweight title fight on February 22. Artur Beterbiev, the current champion, will face Dmitrii Bivol for the second straight time. On BoxRec, Benavidez is ranked No. 3 in the light heavyweight division while Morrell is No. 4. Benavidez has a significant edge in experience as he has had 18 more fights in his career.

But Morrell has a four-inch reach advantage (78.5″ vs. 74.5″), while Benavidez is an inch taller (6’2″ vs. 6’1″). Benavidez has 24 knockouts and has finished seven of his previous nine opponents. This is an orthodox vs. a southpaw matchup. Benavidez has only fought two southpaws in his last 18 fights. At Super Middleweight in November 2023, he found success against southpaw Demetrius Andrade.

Morrell has defeated six of his last seven opponents and is coming off a unanimous decision win against Radivoje Kalajdzic in August 2024. Benavidez is the favorite at -230, while Morrell is a +180 underdog on DraftKings Sportsbook.

The co-main event is a title bout for Brandon Figueroa’s WBC World Featherweight championship. Figueroa is defending against former WBC and WBO super bantamweight champion Stephen Fulton. This is their second matchup. They first fought in November 2021, and Fulton won by majority decision (116-112, 116-112, and 114-114).

Since their first fight, Fulton has gone 2-1, with his lone loss to one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world, Naoya Inoue. He has also been 1-0 since moving to the featherweight division. Figueroa has been 3-0 at 126 pounds since they fought. Even though Fulton won the first fight, Figueroa is the favorite in this bout at -200 on DraftKings Sportsbook.

The main card begins on PBV PPV on Prime Video at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 1. The Main Event ringwalks are expected to occur at 11:00 p.m. ET.
