Cam Thomas is expected to return following the All-Star break. The 23-year-old is progressing to on-court workouts following a recent MRI and check-up from the Nets medical staff.
The All-Star break is set to take place from February 14-18, so there are about two weeks until this set target date.

Thomas is averaging 24.7 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.4 assists through 19 games. The LSU product first began battling hamstring injuries in November and missed 13 games from Nov. 27 to Dec. 29. Thomas made his return to the floor for two games but then re-aggravated his hamstring which has kept him out for the past 14 games. He last played on Jan. 2.
After exceeding expectations to start the year, the Nets have returned to their expected spot near the bottom of the Eastern Conference. Brooklyn holds a 15-33 record and sits in 13th place in the East.
This is an important week for the Nets as they continue on their desired rebuilding path. They already traded Dennis Schroder, Dorian Finney-Smith, and Shake Milton. With the Feb. 6 trade deadline looming, it would not be a surprise to hear another deal come together. Cam Johnson has been a frequent name to come up in trade rumors.
On the court, it will be a positive sign for Thomas to return. He is still early in his developmental arc and will benefit from these high levels of on-ball opportunities with limited expectations in the long run. Brooklyn holds +20,000 odds of participating in the play-in tournament on DraftKings Sportsbook.
