Here we go again.
The Eagles have made their second Super Bowl in the past three seasons and will be facing Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs once again. The Chiefs are looking to complete their 3-peat, while Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley and most Eagles are looking for their first Super Bowl ring. Dallas Goedert is one player who just missed out on the Eagles’ Super Bowl LII victory, getting drafted in 2018 just months after their Super Bowl victory. He, along with many of his teammates, will be hungry to win their first ring.

There is no better day of the year for prop bets than Super Bowl Sunday. There are hundreds of player props to choose from and a full page of props just for Goedert himself. However, one of my favorite props for Super Bowl LIX is Goedert over 51.5 receiving yards. Goedert has been a consistently solid tight end for the Eagles for his entire career. He dealt with injuries during the season and missed a big chunk of games but he has been massive in the postseason. Goedert is averaging 62.7 receiving yards per game over the Eagles’ three postseason games. He was the team’s second-leading receiver in the NFC Championship Game and the Wild Card Game, and he was their leading receiver against the Rams in the Divisional Round snow game. While A.J. Brown and Devonta Smith can be boom-or-bust receivers, Goedert has been very consistent for Jalen Hurts.
The Chiefs always find a way to win games but on paper, their secondary has really struggled this season. In the regular season, they ranked 15th in defensive EPA/dropback and 17th in defensive dropback success rate. The Chiefs have struggled to cover the middle of the field in the postseason, giving up four catches for 63 yards to Dalton Schultz, his second-highest receiving yards game of the season. In fact, the Chiefs ranked dead-last in the NFL in receiving yards allowed to opposing tight ends, with over 67 yards per game allowed. Against the Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII, Goedert had a great game, making six catches for 60 yards. Jalen Hurts should look to get the ball to Goedert often and Goedert should be able to break some of those for decent gains, taking him over his receiving yards prop.
Dallas Goedert DFS Analysis

Dallas Goedert has been an inconsistent fantasy option throughout the season because of missing time with injuries. The Eagles also have a very run-heavy offense and that can make it a major risk to back any of their pass-catchers. However, in the postseason, Goedert has proved his importance to this offense and his capability to put up big numbers. Goedert finished the regular season averaging 6.2 fantasy points per game, the 11th-most among tight ends. However, he has averaged 13.7 fantasy points per game so far in the postseason, over double his average regular season production.
The Chiefs are too well-coached on defense to allow the Eagles to just run all over them with Saquon Barkley. They will force Jalen Hurts to be a passer and Hurts has shown that in the biggest games, he trusts Goedert. Excluding Goedert’s rookie season, he is averaging 57.2 receiving yards per game in the postseason throughout his career. That includes the good performance against the Chiefs the last time he saw them in a Super Bowl. The Chiefs allowed the 26th most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends during the regular season. Goedert should find success in the middle of the field and have a productive Super Bowl.
Goedert is a strong play in a flex position for any Super Bowl DFS contests. He isn’t going to put up big enough numbers to be a viable captain pick but at only $5,800, Goedert is one of the most reliable players in that price range for this contest. Goedert is going to get a good share of targets and he almost always translates those targets to productive catches. If Goedert can just find the end zone on top of that, he could be one of the best-performing players of the entire game.
