Because he and Steve Kerr hate DFS, Steph Curry was a very late addition to the Warriors’ injury report on Tuesday, eventually sitting out the front end of a back-to-back set. Golden State would beat a tanking Jazz squad by a score of 114-103 without Curry’s services. Now, with a matchup against the Thunder on the horizon, Curry has been listed as probable.
While there was optimism surrounding Curry’s fantasy viability last night in an amazing matchup, Oklahoma City is about as far from Utah as you can get in terms of defensive acumen. In fact, the Thunder don’t just have the league’s best defensive rating (103.9) in 2024-25, they’re allowing almost four points per 100 possessions fewer than the next-best team. Opponents are shooting a paltry 32.7% from three-point range versus Oklahoma City — also the best mark in the NBA.
That’s not great news for Curry, who is in the midst of a pretty major slump. The 36-year-old has scored fewer than 20 points in three of his last four starts. In his last five games, Curry is shooting only 31.4% (16-for-51) from distance. Needless to say, it’s difficult to get too excited about the former MVP when it comes to DFS or the prop market on Wednesday evening.
With Curry more than likely back in action, expect Moses Moody to return to his usual reserve role, after drawing a spot start against the Jazz.
