LeBron James Injury Update: January 30 at the Wizards

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James continues to manage a left foot injury, leaving his status for Thursday’s contest with the Washington Wizards in jeopardy.

James is officially listed questionable due to injury management for the road matchup against Washington on January 30.

The 40-year-old continues to defy Father Time and is coming off an excellent performance against the Sixers on Tuesday in which he posted 31 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists.

The Lakers shouldn’t have much trouble dispatching the Wizards if James is available, but the contest may be much more competitive if he sits. Fellow Lakers star Anthony Davis is expected to miss time due to an abdominal injury suffered during Tuesday’s win, so James will likely take on a higher usage rate while Davis remains sidelined.

The Lakers sit 26-19 on the campaign and are 1.5 games back of the fourth-seed Denver Nuggets.

As for the Wizards, they have sole possession of the NBA’s worst record at 6-39 as they continue their quest for prized draft prospect Cooper Flagg. Betting odds for Washington’s next win are available on DraftKings Sportsbook, currently sitting at +950 for a win against the Lakers on Thursday.
